Visa Runs to be screened

Due to the “visa runs” used by many foreign travelers to live in Thailand, several Royal Thai Embassies and Consulates have announced increased screening of tourist visa applicants. A joint announcement reads: “Please be informed that the intention of applicants to repeatedly depart and re-enter Thailand via tourist visa issued by the Royal Thai Embassy or the Royal Thai Consulate in neighboring countries in recent years upon its expiry, is considered as concealment of real purpose of visiting Thailand. Thus their visas applications will be rejected”.

Tiger Balm,
a formula that survived centuries

Tiger Balm is one of the world’s leading topical
analgesics, with a soothing action that relieves muscular aches and pains. Tiger balm is made from active
ingredients such as camphor, menthol, cajuput oil
and clove oil. It owes its origins to a shooting herbal
balm prepared for Chinese emperors who suffered
from various aches and pains.
History says that the formula, which was to become Tiger Balm, is due to a Chinese herbalist called Aw Chu Kin
who lived in Rangoon. While studying the types of effective remedies, he discovered that the blending of various active ingredients really brought relief. His two sons transformed his home-produced remedy into the world renowned brand it is today and gave it the name Tiger Balm, synonymous in the East with strength and vitality. Now millions of jars are bought annually throughout the world. It is available in all pharmacies and health stores in Thailand, at a very affordable price.
